Pilates is a relaxing and enjoyable form of exercise. It is a series of body conditioning exercises that look to build flexibility, muscle strength and endurance.
The exercises place emphasis on spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing and developing a stronger core or centre. Muscles become stronger as you control your body through each move. Over the duration of the classes, the progressive exercises aim to improve your muscle tone, flexibility, posture and balance.
The Stotts and Body Control are both classified as contemporary Pilates. Contemporary Pilates is a modern version based on the original work of Joseph Pilates with continual development and thus may be varied using small props such as resistance bands. This method of Pilates has resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise, science and rehabilitation with attentiveness to spinal injuries.
The programme is based on the individual needs and goals of clients, making it safer, more effective and applicable to a wider audience. Results can be amazing for individuals and our clients have given excellent feedback saying how Pilates has improved their life immeasurably.

Class information
Booking is in advance and classes are in six or seven blocks [depending on school holiday breaks] at £10.50 per class, payable upfront by BACS [stating your name please] or with cash in a named envelope.
